PROJECTS & ACTIVITIES
YOUTH & THE ENVIRONMENT
As part of our Youth & the Environment Programme, M-Kids regularly organises Clean-Up Campaigns in Camp Chapelon and Bois Pignolet.
The campaign’s primary goal is to encourage our young beneficiaries to take collective responsibility towards keeping the environment clean around them.
Litter can persist through decades and attract all sorts of animals, especially when there is food, and give off horrible odours.
The Clean-Up Campaign is not a solution to littering, but rather, the campaign encourages the community to change their behaviour towards littering through active participation and awareness.
The most valuable takeaway is that the young participants learn about alternatives to throwing away broken, unused items, which can be recycled or upcycled, and vegetables or fruits can be used in compost.
